Frans Putker

Director

Frans Putker moved to Favonius mid-2006 as part of the team which is managing the ABN AMRO IT portfolio. His responsibilities include NexWave Inc., France, Freecom, the Netherlands and Fluency, UK. At Favonius Putker assumed responsibility for a number of the Favonius portfolio companies, including Board positions.
In 2000 Putker joined ABN AMRO Capital where he was part of the newly founded IT team. In that capacity he was responsible for the whole range of investment management activities such as the sourcing of deals, structuring and leading of investments, arranging add-on financings for portfolio companies, acting in Boards of portfolio companies and subsequent selling of the companies. Putker realised a number of successful exits.
Before joining ABN AMRO Capital Putker worked from 1994 to 2000 at the Corporate Banking Department of ABN AMRO in Amsterdam, the Netherlands where he was responsible for several key accounts of the bank. His responsibilities included selling the whole spectrum of banking products ranging from sophisticated interest rate swaps to structured shipping financings. Putker also established important relationships with a number of new customers. With the rise of internet and telecom Putker developed several accounts in that sector.
Putker’s professional career began in 1990 at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. in the Netherlands. After an extensive Management Trainee Program Putker started in 1991 in the Project Finance Department based in Amsterdam where he worked in the Natural Resources team. This team held global responsibility for Project Finance transactions in the oil and gas sector and Putker worked on several international project financings (including the arranging and syndication of transactions).
In 1988 he graduated with a Master’s Degree in Economics from Erasmus University of Rotterdam, the Netherlands. After his academic years Putker was a Deputy Commander of the Staff Battery of the 101st Department Field Artillery.
