Jan de Jong

co-Founder and Managing Director

Jan is a founding member and Managing Director of Favonius. Prior to co-founding Favonius in 2001, he was Managing Director of Caprera BV, the advisory company to Insight Venture Partners in Europe where he held a number of board positions with rapidly growing IT companies. He has many years of entrepreneurial and operational experience as founder and CEO of Nedamco Inc., a US international trading company with a specialisation in silicones based in Princeton, New Jersey. Nedamco Inc. was sold successfully in 1998 for a 200x return on capital after the company had achieved consistent growth in turnover and profit and had become active in 55 countries and market leader in China and India. Before founding Nedamco Inc., Jan was active as an executive at Muller & Phipps, a New York based trading company and responsible for sales & marketing. Jan de Jong holds various degrees from the London School of Foreign Trade.
